Safety monitoring
Moderators may watch live streams (including ticketed and private one-to-one sessions) and review uploaded digital content for safety, safeguarding and Online Safety Act compliance. This may happen without notice on screen. We keep an internal log of when moderators open a stream. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping users safe and our legal obligations. See section 6 of the Terms of Service.
Recording of live streams
Every live stream is recorded in standard definition (SD) for safety and safeguarding. This includes free public streams, ticketed streams and private one-to-one sessions. The recording is a series of standard-definition still images taken from the vendor’s camera every few seconds while live, together with the stream details, times and, for private sessions, which client account took part. Recordings are kept securely for 14 days after the stream ends and then deleted automatically, unless an authorised member of staff saves (holds) a recording because it may show illegal content, harm or a risk to someone’s safety; a held recording is kept only for as long as it is needed for that purpose, including any police investigation or legal proceedings. Only authorised platform staff can access recordings, and each access, export and deletion is logged. Vendors and clients cannot view or download recordings. We may share recordings with the police or other authorities when the law requires it or when we believe it is necessary to prevent or report a crime or protect someone from harm. Our lawful basis is our legal obligations (including under the Online Safety Act 2023) and our legitimate interest in keeping users safe.
Who we share with
Our ID check provider, payment provider and hosting, under contract. Where we find something that suggests a crime or a risk to someone’s safety, we may share it with the police or other authorities.
